I am very familiar with that area.That is around by my old alma school #34.I was born and raised in Pigtown.I noticed that the drugs and prostitution didn't get bad until 1991-92,when I was still living there.I am glad they are doing something about the drugs and prostitution.

ReplyDeleteI saw a hooker getting into a truck on the boulevard, but I couldn't get my camera out --- loaded down with grocery bags. Dammit.
ReplyDeleteCan I just say that "Taxicab Confessions" was one of the funniest (and most pathetic) stories I've heard in a looooooong time.
I got out of of pigtown in 1993 because of the drugs and prostitutes.I had cops approaching me thinking I was a drug addict back in those days.I hated drugs, because my brother used to steal from me and my father because he needed money to buy drugs with.Sadly, my brother passed away on June 13,2007 from complications of aids.
